Introduction
- The use of mobile applications becomes more and more common in teaching and learning. Instructors and students may develop mobile applications as part of the teaching and learning activities. Researchers at university may develop mobile applications as part of deliverables.
- It is important to consider accessibility from the beginning of the design process of the mobile applications to better cater for the needs of the target users to the greatest extent possible. It is always important to collect users’ opinions and conduct user testing on the accessibility of the mobile applications prototypes and final products.
- In this section, there are examples of essential guidelines and references about designing accessible mobile applications. They are not exhaustive or definitive.

Web and Application Accessibility Consultancy Services to help local enterprises and organizations to adopt accessibility design in their websites and mobile applications. - Digital accessibility consultation service by GATE, Hong Kong Blind Union
The digital accessibility consultation service provides accessibility testing, consultation, training on website and mobile applications construction. The accessibility testing is conducted by experienced testers using automatic testing software and by manual testing using different screen readers and screen magnification software in a systematic way with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
